What are the differences between Hardwired installation and installation using Plug-In Adapter?
If you have an existing wired doorbell at your front door, then Wired Video Doorbell Pro can be installed and powered using your existing compatible doorbell wiring. If you don’t have existing doorbell wiring but you do have an electrical socket near your front door, then you can use Plug-In Adapter to power Wired Video Doorbell Pro. Plug-In Adapter features a long, 6 metre cable that connects to your Wired Video Doorbell Pro and simply plugs into a standard Irish electrical socket, for continuous power and peace of mind.
Wired Video Doorbell Pro requires existing doorbell wiring for Hardwired Installation. Once Hardwired, will my original doorbell chime still sound?
No, not in this case. To make installation simple, Wired Video Doorbell Pro requires you to bypass the existing doorbell chime which means your existing chime will not sound. To continue hearing audio alerts in your home, pair Wired Video Doorbell Pro with an existing Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device. Wired Video Doorbell Pro and Chime are available as a bundle here, so you can enjoy audio notifications and alerts around your home, right out of the box.
